Leah Walker Orthodontics has been creating healthy, beautiful smiles for people of all ages in Carlsbad, Encinitas, San Marcos, Vista, Oceanside, and all around the La Costa area since 2006. She is known for her laid-back style and amazing results. As a doctor, she uses the latest technology to make orthodontics a breeze. As a Mom, she knows how to relate to kids and adults alike.

Dr. Walker was born and raised in Southern California and graduated from the University of Southern California in 1997. She received her dental degree with honors from the University of the Pacific (UOP) in San Francisco in 2002. She returned home to Southern California to practice general dentistry for two years before she found her true calling in orthodontics. She returned to UOP, where she received her orthodontic specialty training and her Master of Science in dentistry.

The first person in her family to go to college, she has always been focused on excellence. In dental school she had her first experience with orthodontics and fell in love with the way it combines artistry and science, two of her passions, to make peoples’ lives better.

She never needed orthodontic treatment herself, so she always approaches her consultations and new patient exams with an open mind, never recommending unnecessary treatment. Her favorite thing about being an orthodontist is the relationships she and her team build with patients – relationships that last well beyond treatment time and often turn into friendships. Her favorite moment in the entire treatment process is sharing in the big reveal when patients see their new smiles for the first time.
